The manufacture “Parmigiani Mesure et Art du Temps” is situated in Fleurier in the Neuchâtel region of the Swiss Jura.
It is there that the master watchmaker, Michel Parmigiani, has celebrated the art of time for over two decades. He has
gathered the best craftsmen in the world of horology, many of whom combine the skills of the goldsmith and the watchmaker.
In the workshops they display a combination of dexterity, finesse and artistry, with the result that each and every
one of them contributes to the reputation of the manufacture, which is a concentration of many talents. Nothing leaves
the workshops unless it meets their demands for perfection at every stage of its production. There are three sides to
Parmigiani Mesure et Art du Temps: the restoration of antique clocks and watches, the making of special designs,
and the creation of the Parmigiani Fleurier Collection.
Restoration—Through its restoration work, the manufacture has acquired an incomparable horological
knowledge which is reflected in its creations today. Michel Parmigiani is the depositary of
a horological tradition which goes back 450 years: from the priceless heritage of the clocks of
the Renaissance to marine chronometers of great precision, ranging through orreries,
automata, clocks with striking jacks and musical boxes. Many of the finest mechanical
creations have passed through his hands.
The creation of special timepieces—For many years Michel
Parmigiani’s passion for horological mechanisms and his technical
skill have persuaded the most distinguished watch
companies to entrust the creation of exclusive models to the
workshops at Fleurier. These timepieces are horological
masterpieces pushed to the farthest limits of perfection.
Most of them are minute repeaters, perpetual calendars
and other complications.
The collection—Exclusive and limited in number,
The Parmigiani Fleurier collection was born in
1996. It consists of wristwatches, pocket watches,
small clocks and “objets d’art”. The collection
expresses the vast experience which the
manufacture has acquired and the awareness
of beauty which has been its inspiration.
The Parmigiani Fleurier Collection is distributed on several markets (Europe, USA, Middle East and Asia) either through
territorial “sales ambassadors” or directly from the workshop in Fleurier. Michel Parmigiani’s knowledge and skill are
renowned far beyond the mountains which surround Fleurier. For many years the company has captivated an international
network of demanding collectors and art lovers with sophisticated taste, who understand that the value of the company
goes far beyond the mere objects that it produces or restores: it also reveals itself in a particular approach to life which
carries heritage and tradition forward into the future, combined with a conviction of the need to experiment.
