| This watch is part of a limited and numbered edition of 250
examples, replica of the Movado military watches from the
beginning of this century. This model was specially developed in
1913 for officers and soldiers of the Swiss Army and was used
during world war 1.
It comes with its own unique packaging: a genuine, so-called
" Mannsputzzeug" (maintenance kit for personal equipment)
from old Swiss army stock. This maintenance kit consists of a
coarse cloth holder containing various items which the Swiss
soldier needed to look after his uniform; a special set consisting
of cotton reel with needle, various army buttons, which were for
the leather belt, shoe grease, brushes for clothes and shoes, etc.
One brush has been removed and in its place the maintenance
kit now contains a small wooden case which holds the watch.
The whole pack is supplied in a leather card case.
This Military Watch represents an important piece of Movado
history and a very unique addition to any watch collection. |
